The European Union, dominated by aggressive and uninhibited neoliberalism, contributes to permeate populations’ consciousness. The sacrosanct market dominates everything everywhere. The question of cultural hegemony must once again become an engine of the left’s action.

The difficulty the left encounters when it advances its alternatives in public opinion and triumphs over the ideological struggle that the capital, the right and the extreme right successfully conduct, including in working-class circles, shows the importance of taking greater and better account of the cultural issues of political, social, economic, ecological and democratic struggles.

It is to this fight that the Culture Network is trying to make its contribution.
