The European Left condemns the Israeli war on Gaza and the attack on over 2 million Palestinians there.

The Israeli war on Gaza is a clear violation of international law and human rights. We demand an immediate halt to the attacks and the facilitation of humanitarian aid.

The Palestinian population of over 2 million people is taken hostage and used as a military target.

The Israeli far-right government of Benjamin Netanyahu cannot justify its inhuman area bombings, the destruction of hospitals, and the killing of a defenseless people by referring to the horrific terrorist attack by Hamas in Israel on 7 October and the Israeli right to retaliate by calling this “protecting Israel”. However, punishing the entire population of Gaza is a blatant violation of humanitarian and international law. Palestinian lives matter.

An invasion of Gaza by the Israeli army can only come at the price of genocide.

We demand an end to the inhuman military operation and the killing of civilians by the Israeli forces. We also demand the release of the hostages held by Hamas. A ceasefire, peace and a settlement in line with the UN resolutions on Palestine, which protect the right of the Palestinian people to have their own state alongside the state of Israel, is the only way to a solution. The Palestinian state must be recognized worldwide.
Solidarity with the suffering Palestinian people!
