ELYN: Young People Fight for Peace and Equality

Across Europe, young people are told to lower their expectations. We face insecure jobs, impossible rents, underfunded education and growing inequality. At the same time, governments are pouring billions into weapons while asking us to accept militarisation as the new normal. Instead of investing in our futures, they are investing in rearmament. We refuse that choice.

We believe young people deserve homes, not speculation. Decent jobs, not endless insecurity. Public education, not privatisation. Peace, not militarism.

Every day, young people are proving that another Europe is possible. We see it in housing campaigns, climate movements, feminist struggles, anti-fascist mobilisation, anti-militarism and international solidarity. Across borders, a new generation is organising, resisting and demanding real change.

That is why ELYN and the European Left Party are committed to building a strong, international youth movement. A movement that stands against militarism, racism and the far right. A movement that fights for peace, social justice, democracy and socialism. Because real security does not come from bigger armies, it comes from decent lives, strong public services and solidarity between peoples.

This International Youth Day, our message is clear: our future will not be built by fear, division or war. It will be built by young people organising together for peace, equality, democracy, socialism and solidarity among peoples.
