With the People of Palestine

On this International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, established in 1977 by the UN General Assembly, we extend our unwavering support to those enduring the devastating impact of Israel’s bombing campaign and the ongoing war and genocide in Gaza—now persisting for nearly 14 months.

While the recent ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah is a positive step that has saved lives, it has unfortunately not halted the brutal assault on Gaza. The extreme right-wing Israeli government continues its campaign of violence with murderous intent, which remains a grave concern. Furthermore, this ceasefire may inadvertently strengthen Israel’s capacity to escalate its war in Gaza and expand the conflict into the West Bank.

The only viable path forward is an immediate ceasefire and a cessation of hostilities to end Israel’s policy of colonization, territorial expansion, and violence.

We firmly support the Palestinian people’s right to national self-determination—this is the true path to peace in the Middle East.
