Trump Ceasefire without Justice and Peace

The European Left welcomes the ceasefire in Gaza, reducing the genocide, but we condemn the persistent attacks and killings of the local Palestinians in Gaza mainly by Israeli forces since the ceasefire

The ceasefire is not a Road to peace as Long as it is dominated by US concerns to satisfy Netanyahu and the Israeli government, which has led to an exclusion of the rights of the Palestinians in the Trump plan. First of all the plan does not include  concerns to address the increasing Israeli and settler violence against the Palestinian population in the West Bank, in fact it excludes the West Bank, nor the aim to help build a democratic two-state solution, based on the 1967 borders, guaranteeing the national self-determination and human rights of the Palestinian people.

The European Left underlines our continuing solidarity with the Palestinian people.
