Join Campaing of the Feminist Assembly of the European Forum ahead of the International Womens Day (8M): #My5Percent
#My5Percent is the feminist campaign of the European Forum’s Feminist Assembly, supported and co-organised by the Feminist Working Group of the Party of the European Left. It challenges militarisation and cuts to public services, while promoting international solidarity. Follow the European Forum website and social media in the week leading up to March 8 to take part in an interactive campaign where your voice counts.
Why we’re doing this
Governments are increasing military and arms spending by 5%. That money doesn’t come from nowhere.
It comes from healthcare, education, care work, housing, protection from violence, and women pay the price first.
#My5Percent is a collective feminist action in the 7 days leading up to March 8, International Day of Women’s Rights.
WE FLIP THE QUESTION:
- What does 5% more for weapons really mean in our lives?
- What would we do with that money instead?
No experts needed. Lived experience is political.
How do we fight back together?
There are three simple ways to join the campaign. Choose one — or do all three. Every post, every answer, every photo is a refusal of militarisation.
The campaign rhythm:
7 days. One question. Thousands of voices.
- KICK OFF: 7 days ahead of March 8 – Daily educational posts + collective participation
- ON MARCH 8: Live coverage from feminist demonstrations
- AFTER MARCH 8: A final campaign video bringing all voices together

option 3: on march 8 bring the campaign to the streets
On 8th of March, the campaign goes where it belongs: into the demonstrations.
You can:
- HOLD a printed sign or handwritten message, downloaded from the Forum website
- WRITE your answer on paper or campaign’s sticky notes
- TAKE PART in short street interviews
You may be asked:
- How do budget cuts affect women’s lives?
- If you controlled 5% of the budget, what would you change?
Your voice may be part of:
- Live social media coverage
- Campaign recap content
- The final campaign film
