El PIE condena la represión en Juliaca (Perú)

En las últimas horas las fuerzas policiales han asesinado a 19 personas en Juliaca, en la zona de Puno, en Perú, entre ellas un menor de edad y un médico voluntario.
La represión contra manifestantes y equipos de salud que se desplazan a atender a los heridos, continua tras el golpe a Castillo y son ya unas cuarenta las víctimas en todo el país.
Las manifestaciones prosiguen en Perú exigiendo la dimisión de Dina Boluarte, la de todo el gobierno, la inmediata convocatoria de elecciones y el inicio de un proceso constituyente.
El Partido de la Izquierda Europea lamenta estos hechos y rechaza la represión ejercida contra los manifestantes. Exigimos una urgente condena internacional por parte de las instituciones europeas y solicitamos la suspensión del Tratado de Libre Comercio con Perú, mientras no se respeten los derechos fundamentales de la ciudadanía.

The EL condemns the repression in Juliaca (Peru)
In the last few hours police forces have killed nineteen people in Juliaca, in the Puno area of Peru, including a minor and a volunteer doctor.
The repression against demonstrators and health teams who go to treat the wounded continues after the coup against Castillo, and there are already about forty victims in the whole country.
Demonstrations continue in Peru demanding the resignation of Dina Boluarte, the resignation of the entire government, the immediate convocation of elections and the beginning of a constituent process.
The European Left deplores these events and rejects the repression of the demonstrators. We demand an urgent international condemnation by the European institutions and call for the suspension of the Free Trade Agreement with Peru, as long as the fundamental rights of the citizens are not respected.
