Българската Левица

The Bulgarian Left Party was founded on April 4, 2009 as a reaction to the progressive and continuous movement of the Bulgarian Socialist Party to the right and the abandonment of social issues by its leadership – both central and local. In this situation, left-leaning Bulgarians were left without political representation, and the struggle for socialism with a human face had to be continued by someone!

Another reason for the party’s emergence was the founders’ desire to gather the scattered forces of the authentic left-wing political space.
