Partnership between Transform and the European Left

Responding to a call of the European Commission in September 2007, Transform and the European Left submitted a joint project and since then have further developed their cooperation. In 2007 and 2008 Transform and the EL coorganised the EL Summer University and presented a joint programme at the European Social Forum, the Humanite Festival etc. Transform and the EL have organised seminars and conferences about political, economic and cultural issues in Europe.

Transform is a network of European NGOs, foundations, institutes, and individuals dealing with political education and critical societal analysis. Founded at the World Social Forum in Porto Alegre, Transform now includes 16 member organisations: Transform Austria, Association Culturelle Joseph Jacquemotte (Belgium), Society for European Dialogue (Czech Republic), Left Forum (Finland), Espaces Marx (France), Fondation Copernic (France), Fondation Gabriel Peri (France), the journal Sozialismus (Germany), Rosa Luxemburg Foundation (Germany), Nicos Poulantzas Institute (Greece), Transform Italy, Transform Luxembourg, Manifesto Foundation (Norway), Cultures of Labour and Socialism (Portugal), Foundation for Marxist Studies (Spain), Center for Marxist Social Studies (Sweden).
